Expertise:
There are two areas of my interest: - Educational policy - my main publications and reports are connected with demographic social conditionings of education, rural education, regional differences, educational disparities - access to education (regional and country level), costs and investments in education, conditionings of student`s achievements.
- Methodology of educational research - mostly application of questionnaire and statistical methodes (in investigation of education on different levels)
Professional/ Work Experience: I started as assistant in 1972 in the Institute for Educational Research in Warsaw.Since 1995, I have been Professor of methodology of Educational Research. Earlier, I was head of small unit - department of economics of education. I took part in some important projects in last several years: "Small schools in rural areas", ""Access to education" (both coordinated by UNDP), "Reform of educational system" and "Access to higher level of secondary school" (The World Bank), "Strategies of vocational education" (CEDEFOP, ETF), projects coordinated by the Institute of Public Affairs in Warsaw (also last GDN project).
Affiliation: I collaborate with NGO - the Institute of Public Affairs in Warsaw. I am an expert for primary and secondary school in Poland (in Polish organization of EURIDICE (educational information at The Council of Europe)
