Expertise: Currently working as a consultant in the cassava
breeding unit, IITA, Ibadan. Activities includes analysing data,
writing research papers for publication. Obtained Ph.D in Plant
breeding thesis titled "Influence of shoots and roots characteristics
on tuber yield of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) in Nigeria. Worked
as a plant breeder invloved in setting up yield trials, breeding,
selection characterisation of germplasm, field evaluation, disease
scoring, cyanide test, data evaluation and analysis. Very conversant
with statistical packages such as general linear models, regression and
correlation analysis, multivariate analysis pca and clustering
analysis, path analysis and AMMII additive means and multiplicative
interaction models. Research intest presently is on the genetic
improvement and physiology of root and tuber crops as well as
environmetal influence as it affect yield of root and tuber crops.
Professional/ Work Experience: Presently a consultant in the cassava breeding
unit, IITA Ibadan. Analysing data, writing papers for publication and
conducting breeding experiments. Deputy Agricultuaral officer Osu, Osun
State. providing technical assistance to rural farmers,organising
training workshops and seminars and cordinating agriculturl activities
within the local government jurisdiction.
Affiliation: Member of the International Society of Tropical
Root crop Society, Member of the African crop science society of Africa
and currently the Welfare officer of International association of
research scholars and fellow (IITA,Nigeria).
