Mangla View Resort (Pvt) Limited, Mangla – Pakista

My job portfolio was changed from Manager – Environmental Control Unit to Project Manager in the Project   Development Department of Mangla View Resort (Pvt) Ltd. (a subsidiary of Maxcorp Group of Companies Malaysia) on Mangla View Resort Project. The project was declared as a project dedicated to tourism          development in Pakistan by Ministry of Tourism.
         
I played my role as of a coordinator between the Client-Consultant-Contractor. As a Project Manager, I was           assigned monitoring of the project construction activities, confirmation of Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), coordinating Project Construction Cashflows and Forecasting and other technical issues including contract preparation, project planning, business proposal development, logistics arrangement for the Project Team and providing feedback on urban planning appraisals and objections by the local planning authority, resort development guidelines, development of health & safety guidelines, supervising the Environmental Control Unit for overall implementation and monitoring of Construction Environmental Management Plan and conducting Monthly Environmental Monitoring (Noise, Ambient Air and Mangla Lake & Ground Water Quality) during the construction phase of the project, extensive engineering documentation control and other management level assignments.

Mangla View Resort (Pvt) Limited, Mangla – Pakistan
        Position: Manager – Environmental Control Unit              Oct 18, 2005 – July 17, 2006

I worked as Manager – Environmental Control Unit in this company. My principal job here was to guide the Project Planning/Management Team during the construction phase of the project with on site recommendations to be in harmony with the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) of the Environmental Impact Assessment of the Project and conducting monthly Environmental Monitoring (Noise, Ambient Air and Mangla Lake & Ground Water Quality) in compliance with the environmental regulations as per the laws of Government of Pakistan. Environmental Monitoring was reported to the Environmental Protection Department through Monthly, Bimonthly, Quarterly and Annual Environmental Monitoring Reports as a key task assigned to me. Besides this I coordinated other matters pertaining to planning and corporate affairs.

Multan Environment Conservation Project: Community Development Resource Center – United NationsDevelopment Programme, Multan – Pakistan

I worked on the UNDP funded project to monitor and streamline the project activities on the standards of environmental conservation. The major component of the project was installation and running of a solid waste composting and recycling plant. Community participation was considered an integral part of the project activities. Assessment of the local recycling and scavenging initiatives and incorporating their concerns in the project was a key task assigned to me.

Southern Punjab Basic Urban Services Project (Asian Development Bank – Project Preparatory Technical Assistant Phase), Lahore – Pakistan

As a research assistant to team leader, mainly my duties were to assist and manage project activities and coordinate with local staff. The project components included planning for basic urban facilities like solid waste management, water supply and drainage schemes, basic health facilities, road network etc.

Programme for the Improvement of Livelihoods in Urban Settlements,  (United Nations Development Programme – Preparatory Assistant Phase), Multan – Pakistan
      Position: Internee                                                                  June 17 – August 1, 2002
As an internee in the UNDP funded project, my basic purpose was to equip myself with the participatory development strategies. The project covered low-income settlements of Multan city where different physical infrastructure facilities were planned with the local community to make the investment sustainable.
