Professional/ Work Experience:
- Jose Ramon Albert, PhD. works for the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), a think tank functionally attached to the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA). Dr. Albert is also an Adjunct Faculty Member of the Asian Insitute of Management. He has served as Research Chief and Training Chief of the Statistical Research and Training Center, another attached agency under NEDA. He was a professorial lecturer of the UP School of Statistics (UPSS) and the De La Salle University Graduate School of Business (DLSU-GSB), and has served as consultant to various government agencies, private firms, and international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the ADB Independent Evaluation Department, and various agencies within the United Nations system and the World Bank Group, especially the World Bank Institute. He is a past President of the Philippine Statistical Association, the nation’s sole professional organization of statistical practitioners, is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute, and of the National Research Council of the Philippines, as well as a Fellow of the Social Weather Stations. He obtained his BS Applied Math from the De La Salle University (DLSU), MS and PhD in Statistics both from SUNY-Stony Brook College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
