Monetary Economics: I worked on the financial system development in Turkey  and in the MENA countires. Also did reserach on the monetary and exchange rate policies in Turkey. Presently I am working on Turkey's experiencce with inflation targeting. 

Welfare Economics and Economic Policy: I am particularly interested in the structural reforms, their welfare implications and their political viability.

Defence Economics: I am interested in the allocation of resources for defense in the context of an economy that produces private as well as public goods. In this framework I am intereted in the problem of the parliamentary oversight of the security sector.
