I have been researching and focusing on Poverty and Vulnerability and Social policy. In the past I have resaerch topics in Micro economic development, Health, Education and Social protection.
Professional/ Work Experience:
My academic carreer started when I compleated my undergraduate fdegree in Economics back in Chile. I took a teaching poccition at Universidad Diego Portales where I tought intro. to Economics and Business development classes. At the same time I was colaborating in research proyects with a professor based at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile our collaboration produced several papers on Labor Economics and Industrial Organization.
In 2005 I went to NYU to study a MPA where I focused my studies and Research on social policy and development. I worked with Prof. Jonathan Morduch as his RA and TA.
Backin Chile in 2007 I started working at Universidad Adfolfo Ibáñe's School of Government. At UAI I tough several economic, development and public policy courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
I also have been researching issues related to social protection and poverty in Latin American and Chile.
I started my PhD in 2010 at American University in Washingtin D.C. wher I have been focusing my researc on the study of poverty and vulnerability in Chile.
