Expertise: My research interest springs from twenty years
of working closely with grassroot organisations in fighting
poverty.Importantly I have been at the forefront of working together
with communities in establishing organisations that address community
needs. It is this practical experience and the challenges inloved in
tackling poverty that I would like to contribute to. 34%of our people
still live below poverty line and 44%stay in wattle houses made of mud.
The question is why has it taken for us long to put off poverty? I hold
BA(Mass Communication)degree(upper second) from Makerere University,
Kampala. And cureently, Iam pursuing a Master of Arts degree in
Development Studies at Nkumba University.
Professional/ Work Experience: As a publicist and journalist , I am concerned
with highlighting the plight of the ordinary people. This position gives
me tremendous opportunity to express the views of the ordinary people
in different publications.I have worked with media houses and continue
to do so.Working also with a research organisation has helped me to
further improve my understanding of the scientific world and to know
how important it is to an ordinary person.
