The Women's Documentation and Information Center, was the first women's documentation and information center in Albania. The focus of the center is: Protecting and promoting women's rights as Human Rights; Setting up a gender- oriented information database; Media monitoring and training with the aim of influencing media policies and strategies regarding women's issues. The centre has implemented guidelines from the Fourth World Platform of Beijing, as follows:
Women's rights promotion; Creation of women's public image, their involvement in the political, public life through the media, training, publications, etc.
Bringing gender perspective to the focus of the main problems in society
Assistance to women's NGO's for their initiatives and projects
Promotion of cooperation and team work among women NGOs (at local, regional, international level)
