Palash Palli Unnayan Sangstha (PARD) is an organization engaged with community groups. PARD works in integrated development strategy with bottom up participatory approach and management framework based on peoples felt need. The organization designs and implements innovative programs for rural development. Its aim is to organize and assist the poor and disadvantaged people to help them develop a better quality of life. PARD seeks to establish network and development cooperation among Go-NGO, National/International organization and implement partnership programs.
The main activities of the organization include:
education and training (formal-informal)
health (primary health care, reproductive & adolescent, maternal & child health)
family planning and antidrug movement
environmental protection and management
non-formal education for children and adults
relief and rehabilitation, disaster preparedness and management
PARD offers contributions, and calls for donations, to help micro entrepreneurs, mostly women, start profitable businesses to break free from the poverty cycle.
