DPMF is a regional civil-society organisation
that aims at consolidating and institutionalising democratic governance
in Africa. The forum conducts research, training and advocacy with a
focus on enhancing the capacity of policy makers and civil-society in
African countries. Areas of focus include: - civil service and democratic governance
- conflict and peace-building
- regional integration
- civil society and leadership.
The
organisation also conducts workshops about regional integration and
democratic governance for senior policy managers from sub-regional
organisations. DPMF has been facilitating the creation of various
networks of civil society groups. One such initiative is the forging of
active cooperation between civil society and research organisations,
for monitoring and advocacy of democratic governance in the process of
deepening regional integration in Africa. The forum regularly produces
books, policy briefs, occasional papers and bulletins. The website
provides full-text documents of its publications except books, and
information about its activities. |
