Africa Action is an alliance of the United States' oldest organizations devoted to analysis and advocacy on African Affairs. It incorporates the American Committee on Africa, The Africa Fund, and Africa Policy Information Center (APIC). Africa Action addresses Africa's priority issues by providing information and mobilizing for action to help shape new US and multilateral policies to support Africa's efforts to achieve economic, political and social justice in the 21st century. It is running an advocacy campaign on Africa's Right to Health . WWW site includes action resources to support the advocacy campaign on health, women's issues, democracy and debt. Also lists contacts for the Africa Action Networks. Features a guide to resources about Africa on the internet, broken down by country. Website also features the proceedings of an electronic roundtable discussion on International Policies, African Realities, hosted by APIC that ran from January-May 2000. |
