Expertise:
My basic expertise is in natural resource governance and my current area of work is fisheries governance. I'm also working on sustainable livelihood and institutional analysis pertaining to sustainable livelihood in primary sector activities.
Professional/ Work Experience:
I have worked in four south Asian countries: bangladesh, India, maldives and Sri Lanka. In India I have worked on joint forest management, salt industry before moving to fisheries governance. Presently, I am working as a Policy Analyst with BOBP-IGO (www.bobpigo.org), a regional fisheries advisory body. My recent research inputs include assisting in framing policies for member-countries of the BOBP-IGO to deal with Europen Union directives regarding import of fish; development of small-scale fisheries; livelihood in marine protected areas, etc.
