	Overview

The Centre for the Study of Higher Education (CSHE - formerly the Education Policy Unit) conducts research on policy implementation and change management, and monitoring and evaluation in the field of higher education. The current programes of CSHE include:

responsiveness of higher education (HE) to development needs
changing modes of knowledge production and acquisition in HE
equity
inclusive education
mergers and reconfiguration of the HE landscape in South Africa

The CSHE website includes details of South African HE news and HE policy developments. It also provides an online database, CSHE conferences calendar and details of current and completed projects. Publications are available to download.
