Plenaries: Three of the four plenary sessions will include presentations by academics, policymakers and representatives of civil society organizations from across the world. The remaining plenary is devoted to presentations by finalists of the Awards Competition (in the categories of the Most Innovative Development Project and Outstanding Research on Development).

Parallels: Three of the four parallel sessions will focus discussions around issues of institutional reform, national and international governance and the role of institutions in poverty alleviation, while grounding these issues in the experiences of specific developing and transition countries. The remaining parallel will feature presentations by finalists in the Research Medals Competition.
