GDNet supports southern researchers to contribute and debate ideas in development thinking, policy and practice.

About the GDNet Regional Windows

The GDNet regional windows are a key part of realizing GDN's commitment to decentralization and capacity building in developing countries. The regionalization strategy is driven by the requirements expressed by the GDN-affiliated regional partners and is characterized by a demand-driven, user-led approach.

GDNet Network Workflow

Partnership and participation

GDNet is a series of online information initiatives to support and communicate research knowledge from developing countries. GDNet is developed in partnership with knowledge managers from the GDN hubs and the broader development community in the global south.

The idea of regional windows was born at a meeting of knowledge managers in March 2000. Strengthening the regional dimension of GDNet became a central strand of the project, as it is considered key to effectively communicating local research priorities and policy debates. Read about GDNet More  »
