GDNet invites development actors to ‘Connect South’- An invitation to the world

The Connect South campaign calls on people and organizations working in development to pledge their support and re-establish GDNet’s own commitments to southern researchers. Sharing knowledge, making a difference and fostering connections between researchers and decision-makers are at the heart of the Connect South campaign. More than ever, we need knowledge and experience from the South to inform responses to global problems.

We cannot achieve our ambitions alone, so join us on LinkedIn profile, share your pledge to Connect South and engage with other researchers, research organizations and networks who share the same passion.

GDNet’s new Thematic Windows will help researchers connect and raise their profile online

Feedback invited on the full collection of 23 thematic windows launched

Helping researchers connect with peers who work in the same field and making the 16,500 papers in the GDNet Knowledgebase easier to browse. Those are the aims of the new GDNet Thematic Windows. The full set of 23 Thematic Windows are now available for visitors to preview and test as beta versions. The themes have been selected to reflect GDN’s research agenda and the research interests of GDNet members and each window highlight recent research papers and researcher profiles on that theme.

Following the test period, the GDNet team will make any improvements needed based on user feedback. Feedback on the Thematic Windows can be sent to connect@gdnet.org

Spaces for engagement:

Using knowledge to improve public decisions
Launched in 2007, the project “Spaces for Engagement: Using Knowledge to Improve Public Decisions” is a GDNet initiative, implemented in Latin America by CIPPEC. The project aims at using knowledge management to improve bridging research and policy. The underlying purpose is to strengthen debate about how to enhance this practice.
